 Lulu's Little Girl Chloe

To our sweet little girl. You were truly the most wonderful dog. We
can never thank you enough for all the wonderful years. You were our
first pug and provided such exciting insights into your breed.

When you first came to us you were so small and scared, but you were such a comfort to a grieving Lucy.  We worried when, after just a
few weeks, we had to leave the two of you at a kennel while we went on a vacation, but when we got home, you and Lucy had formed an unbreakable bond.  It forever changed and directed your young life.
You loved her so much and took such good card of her.  Everyone who
saw the two of you together could tell that you were perfect for each
other.  She taught you to chase balls and to love squeak toys.  We knew that her death was devastating for you.  In many ways, much of the joy and fun in your life went out with her and the picture of you sitting out by her grave for hours in the rain is one that will never leave us.  Still, you welcomed scores of puppies into your world even though none would ever be as special to you as your beloved miniature dachshund.

Cathy and I loved you so much.  You were cute and full of energy.  You got so excited every night when we went to lock up the chickens.  You loved going on car rides and running free on the beach. 

It was so much fun to write a piece for the paper about you watching the Westminster Dog Show on television.  I'm sure that it gave all who 
read it a new way of looking at and appreciating their pets.

We will never forget a special, unique dog that was with us for thirteen
and a half years and who enriched the lives of everyone who met her.

I sincerely hope that there is a Rainbow Bridge and that your old and
crippled body is newly whole and that you and your Lucy are at play.
